Think Bigger is a slogan currently in use at Fontys University of Professional Education. Since April 2003, Remko Killaars has worked at Fontys as a lecturer in Industrial Design and Engineering.
Creativity, Presentation Drawing, Photography, Spatial Thinking and Design-projects are his main subject areas. In January 2010, he founded the Fontys Foto Club. In the search for an interesting assignment for this club, he stumbled upon the slogan ‘Think Bigger’; a great opportunity to play with scale. Inspired by a book of Slinkachu (a British street-artist who uses these miniature-figures), bought at the Design Museum in Essen, the idea of using scale 1:87 figures for his photographs was born.
